An online configurator for an elevator manufacturer
Customers configure an elevator on the website, see which options fit together and send a complete request. Sales and engineering review it before the order moves into production.

What had to work better
The manufacturer handled estimates through repeated exchanges between sales and engineering. Customers needed a way to specify an elevator, understand which options could be combined and submit a request with everything needed to prepare a quote.
Built for each role
Customers
Choose the elevator type, load, speed, cabin and shaft dimensions, doors and options, and prepare a request.
Sales
Receive structured requests with every selected specification and prepare quotes.
Engineering
Review specifications and approve them before production.

What we built

- Dependent fields that check compatible cabin and shaft dimensions, load and speed
- Options that change as the customer makes selections
- Pricing connected to the manufacturer's engineering and ERP systems
- Role-based access for sales, engineering and management
- A review and approval workflow before an order moves into production
- A mobile view for filtering construction tasks and downloading task albums
- Engineering systems
- ERP
What changed
Customers prepare a structured configuration and request on the website. Sales and engineering receive the selected specifications in a consistent format, which supports quoting and production approval instead of long back-and-forth exchanges.
